HIP-HOP TECH WEEK 2027

Q4 2027 • NEW YORK CITY

WHERE CULTURE, TECH AND OWNERSHIP BUILD THE FUTURE.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Planning Underway for Inaugural Hip-Hop Tech Week, Coming to New York City in Q4 2027

Multi-day platform will unite creators, founders, technologists, investors and cultural leaders around AI, ownership, entrepreneurship and the future of the creator economy.

NEW YORK — Planning is officially underway for the inaugural Hip-Hop Tech Week (HHTWK), scheduled for Q4 2027 in New York City. The multi-day gathering is being developed as a premium innovation platform at the intersection of Hip-Hop, technology, entrepreneurship, ownership, artificial intelligence, finance, media, startups, education and the creator economy.

Hip-Hop Tech Week will convene creators, artists, entrepreneurs, startup founders, technologists, investors, educators, executives and community leaders to explore a central question: How can the people and communities that drive culture help build, own, fund and profit from the technologies shaping the future?

“Hip-Hop has always been a force for innovation, entrepreneurship and global influence,” said Metanize, founder of Hip-Hop Tech Week, Agentic DeFi Labs and HiphFi Launchpad. “The next step is ensuring creators and communities are not only using the technology, but also building the companies, owning the intellectual property, accessing capital and creating lasting economic value. Hip-Hop Tech Week is being planned as a place where culture, code and ownership can move forward together.”

Built for Action, Access and Ownership

The developing program will prioritize practical outcomes over generic panel conversations. Proposed formats include keynotes, workshops, masterclasses, demonstrations, startup pitches, investor meetings, creator labs, executive roundtables, exhibitions, networking and selected cultural experiences.

Programming areas under consideration include Agentic AI and creator tools; music, media and entertainment technology; intellectual property and creator ownership; startup building and investment; stablecoins, fintech, DeFi and Web3; gaming; fashion and the future of merchandise; digital marketing; education, workforce development and youth pathways; and emerging models for community participation and economic growth.

HHTWK is not being positioned as a conventional music festival or a technology conference with Hip-Hop added as decoration. It is being built as a culturally grounded business, education and innovation platform—one designed to help attendees connect, build, protect what they create, access opportunity and grow.

The Planning Phase Begins

The early planning phase will focus on organizational structure, venue selection, sponsorship and strategic partnerships, programming architecture, speaker and participant recruitment, community relationships, production, accessibility, safety, registration, marketing and long-term financial sustainability. Venue, speakers, sponsors and program sessions will be announced only after they are confirmed.

The 2027 initiative builds on Metanize’s earlier work founding Brooklyn Tech Week in 2018, producing blockchain and cryptocurrency programming that year, and producing the inaugural Hip-Hop Tech Con in November 2020. Hip-Hop Tech Week represents the next evolution of that mission: creating an annual New York City institution where culture and technology meet ownership, entrepreneurship, capital and education.
